The aim of this project was the target-grid planning for the planning area “Oberrhein” for the year 2030 within the framework of the strategic network planning of TransnetBW GmbH. One of the key aspects of the project was the preparation of consistent data sets including the modelling of the target network under consideration of technical and operational specifications as well as the validation of the technical parameters.
A further important aspect was the execution of time series simulations and the evaluation of critical operating hours. In addition to (n-0) and (n-1) analyses, the investigation and evaluation also included the consideration of the extended (n-1) criterion up to the investigation of possible common mode cases.
To ensure a sustainable solution for a secure target network in the year 2030, the developed solution concepts were discussed with experts and further considered in simulations for the year 2035.
